KYF visits Tewatohnhi’saktha’s Heads Up Summer Program

This summer, we visited Tewatohnhi’saktha‘s Heads Up Summer Program to talk about the Kahnawake Youth Forum and to facilitate a fun activity around Indigenous youth leadership. We talked about what it means to be a leader and presented characteristics of leadership on massive mural. The Heads Up Program targets youth ages 12-17 to get youth to begin tot think about career choices and to make informed education choices. The program is offered every summer and is divided into two separate 4-week sessions which provides youth with fun activities and training geared to give them a “heads up” on their career, employment options entrepreneurship. We are so happy to have had the opportunity to speak with both sessions.
